Working with Stephanie and Josh on their engagement session earlier this fall was so much fun. They brought so many ideas and props for their session, as was fitting because they are a couple who loves adventure! Deer hunting, fishing, and bow hunting were just a handful of the things they loved doing together. My property here in Franklin, WI was the perfect rustic location for these two and their love of all things outdoors. I am so honored to be Mitch and Taylor engagement and wedding photographer. These two were beyond fun to work with on their engagement session, not to mention BRAVE. We ventured outside in 20 degree weather to get these shots and they were such good sports. It was totally worth it though because we had some beautiful light in downtown Milwaukee and on my property in Franklin, WI. Taylor and Mitch also included their super cute dog, Kash, in some of their photos and those are definitely my favorite. Click below to see more of this gorgeous couple!
Fall colors, crisp weather, and photographing two people in love. Talk about a perfect day! I had so much fun with Ally and Eric's engagement portraits. We decided on Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis as our location. We were blessed with perfect weather and they were so easy to work with. Cannot wait to photograph their wedding in October!
I had the honor of taking Shayna and Travis' engagement portraits in Minneapolis earlier this fall and we had such a blast. Shayna chose the Mill City Park area near the Stone Arch Bridge for her and Travis' engagement portrait session. This spot is so versatile and fun, and so is this couple!! They both came with TONS of enthusiasm for the session and even brought some adorable props. I love when couples use props in their session, especially when what they choose exemplifies a part of the love they share, in this case Duke basketball! They also have one of the most adorable proposal videos in the world. Their wedding day cannot come fast enough because we are going to have such a blast together.
With the perfect amount of clouds in the sky, Katherine, Brian, and I set out to get some engagement portraits in the Mill Ruins Park and Minnehaha Falls area. These two actually had one of their first dates at Minnehaha Falls! Such cuties. Katherine came with all these great ideas for the shoot, including the "&" sign and the first letters of their names. A photographer's dream! The shoot went without a hitch and I'd say we got some lovely shots.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of taking engagement portraits for the lovely Meggie and her fiance, Lucas. Meggie and I had been emailing back and forth on where to do the engagement portrait session, and we had considered somewhere in the city of Chicago or maybe somewhere closer to Libertyville. Sometimes the most beautiful place to take your engagement pictures can be found in your own backyard, quite literally! Meggie emailed me last minute to see if we could possibly meet at her home, since they had woods surrounding them and a frozen lake. I said OF COURSE!! What an AMAZING spot for us to take engagement portraits. It's spots like this that are such a treat to we freelance photographers. Lucas and Meggie were such a joy to work with and I loved nabbing cute little candid moments throughout the shoot. I cannot get enough of her ring. This engagement session was a dream and I loved photographing every minute of it!
