I was so honored to have my good friends ask me to photograph their gorgeous baby girl earlier this month. Baby Lilly was such a good sport as we changed her from one adorable outfit to the next. Can you tell I couldn't get enough of her beautiful baby toes?! I love baby feet about as much as I love this breathtaking in-home newborn portrait session. Enjoy!

Jamie and Brandon had me do their maternity portraits a few months back, and then baby Reese made her big appearance at the end of January. Nothing describes how magical it is to have the honor of documenting both the pregnancy and newborn baby as a photographer. We did an in-home mini session at Jamie and Brandon's home. Some photographers may argue that 45 minutes is not enough time for a newborn session, but I think it all depends on the time of day that you decide to photograph your newborn. One of the most important things is to get your newborn portraits in within the first week of your baby's life. During these first seven days of life your baby is primarily sleeping, so a mini session should start just after you feed your little nugget so that they are full and ready for nap time. Depending on your newborn's sleep schedule, usually sometime between 1pm-3pm works perfect. Jamie and Brandon's home had wonderful light and we shot primarily in the living room and their master bedroom. The only props we needed were Reese's boppy pillow, a few baby blankets, a bow, and some adorable outfits. It was such a lovely shoot and baby Reese was a total angel throughout the whole session!
