It's officially summertime on the homestead! I love taking a moment to capture all the breathtaking things growing this time of year on our property in Franklin, WI. When I'm not photographing Milwaukee area weddings, families, and seniors - I'm outside working on our land. The chickens also love this time of year because they get lots of garden weeds as treats. This was our first year planting a three sisters garden (corn, beans, and squash like the Native Americans planted) and I dare say it is doing fabulously! From our pastured poultry to the organic garden coming into its own, there is so much beauty to take in. See for yourself!

You know it's springtime when you hear the birds chirping at 5:00am! Of course our rooster wakes us up at the crack of dawn no matter what season it is, but I still adore the birds' songs signaling the arrival of warmer weather. Aside from my deep love of being able to get my veggie garden going after its winter slumber, spring is also one of my favorite times of year to photograph all the new pops of color that show up. Tulips, strawberry blossoms, the newly feathered chicks - there's so much for our eyes to feast on! Check out the rest of the spring beauty here in Franklin, WI by scrolling through below...
